The Do’s and Don’ts for Dry Skin

We all have different skin types na iba iba ang specific skin care na hinihingi. Ano ang skin type mo? If you have dry skin, does your skin care align with these do’s and don’ts for dry skin?

The Do’s and Don’ts for Dry Skin

When you have dry skin, your skin may crack, peel or may easily become inflamed. Essentially, dry skin has a damaged moisture barrier. The skin may have cracks that allow for moisture to escape and irritants to get in. This skin type can be made worse by factors and elements such as:

  • Aging or hormonal changes
  • Strong winds, long exposure to the sun, or staying too long in the cold
  • Constant exposure to dry environments, cold weather, or low-humidity air
  • Harsh formulated soaps, washes and skin care
  • Certain medications

Caring for Dry Skin: The Do’s and Don’ts

Hydrate dry skin with these do’s:

  • Maintain a healthy humidity level at home by using a humidifier.
  • Reveal the hydrated, smoother, radiant skin by exfoliating every other day with a gentle scrub.
  • Use mild skin care items with skin-replenishing and skin-restoring antioxidants.
  • Add rich moisturizers and serums to your skin care routine work hand-in-hand in deeply nourishing skin.
  • Apply your body lotion and moisturizers right after a bath or a shower.
  • Rain or shine, always wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or greater.

Avoid further damaging your skin with these don’ts:

  • Take long, hot baths daily.
  • Use stiff-bristled brushes and rough loofahs while bathing.
  • Use soaps and cleansers that contain alcohol, preservatives, parabens or other harsh, ingredients.
  • Rub yourself dry with your bath towel.
  • Skimp on drinking plenty of water.
  • Lose sleep. This would get in the way of how nutrients are absorbed by the skin.

  1. Good pm can i ask kung pwede ba to sa mga may sensitive skin? Kasi po first time ko gumamit ng soap which is gluta c with kojic plus then ask ko n din po kung nakakareduce ng blemishes or dark spot sa face yung soap? Thanks and God bless

    • Hi Arvin! In case you have sensitive skin, we recommend doing a skin patch test when using any new skin care product to check for compatibility. Apply a small amount of the product behind the ear or on the inside wrist area. If no irritation occurs, you may safely use the product. And to answer your other question, due to the unique and powerful blend of Glutathione and Vitamin C, our products lightens dark spots, blemishes and evens out skin tone. Thank you so much Arvin 🙂
